Summary
I would've enjoyed this more if it wasn't a requirement. It is very difficult to find time at work to actually give each site the attention it deserves. I actually started the whole progress back in August from home not at work because at work, I have work to do. Life at the circulation desk is never slow at our branch so this was definitely a challenge since I am based in circulation. I really do love technology and will always be a lifelong learner but this was not as much fun in an environment where we are customer service based with little or no time off the desk for anything else but helping customers.
Downloadable audio books
I can always find titles to check out on Netlibrary but Overdrive, not so much... actually never. Netlibrary is a much better site but is not ipod friendly. This is a problem since most people seem to own ipods and not the other mp3 players that are available on the market. Customers also seem to have a hard time moving the audio book to their player that is compatible with the service.
Podcasts
I don't like podcasts. I'm sure they are a good resource for businesses to utilize for sharing info over the net but on a personal note I can't sit still that long at a computer to listen to a broadcast (podcast). I'm too much of a multi tasker so I would be doing other things on the computer and would probaly have tuned out the podcast a few minutes into the topic.
I noticed Yahoo is closing their podcast site. Anyone know why? I guess I'll do a google search to see if I can find out anything. I had no luck in figuring out how to add a podcast to my blog so it's not here. Sorry! Out of time...

Web 2.0 Awards List
Lots of cool sites were listed as award winners that we have already explored through 23 things so that was nice to see. I did look at the goowy site and it looks interesting (web desktop that you customize to your needs) but I will have to play around with this more from home.
Zoho Writer
I'm using Zoho Writer to write this blog. This is a site that was great to find out about. Since I'm part time, I frequently need to access documents from home that I have worked on while at work. Zoho will allow me to save my documents on their site which means all I have to do is go to this website to retrieve them versus what I normally do... send the items to my home email as an attachment if (and that's a big if) I find time or have to wait until I get back to work. Great time saver!! Thumbs up for this thing...It even has a pretty good font selection. Imagine that! J
I just checked to see if it worked (posting to my blog through Zoho) and it did. Too easy! I will definitely recommend this site to others.

Sandbox - Wiki
Okay, that wasn't so bad. I added my blog to the favorites and to the blog pages. I even added an entry to the favorite dogs postings. Of course, it was about pugs! Y
No real thoughts about this topic. It's pretty straightforward.

Wikis
A great tool for making a web page without requiring html knowledge. The biggest drawback is that changes can be made on your page at anytime by anyone. It is nice that you don't have to identify all wikis as wikis...this is a plus.
